M&D was formed on 1st July 1994 when three companies, GrellTaurell Limited, Geo F Huggins & Company Limited and T. Geddes Grant (Trinidad) Limited were merged to form Marketing & Distribution, a company with a combined business history of more than 400 years.

Today, M&D is a division of Trading & Distribution Limited a subsidiary of Neal & Massy Group of Companies, and is one of the premier distributors in Trinidad & Tobago.

M&D uses a Brand Management structure, where each brand has a manager dedicated to ensuring its success. The Sales team consist of sales reps and van sales, we employ, on average, 120 Merchandisers who are responsible for merchandising more than 110 stores nationwide.

We have four offices in Trinidad and Tobago; the head office is located in Macoya. The South office, which provides Pharmaceutical and Food & General Merchandise as well as being the base for cigarette distribution in Central and South Trinidad is located at Scott Street in San Fernando. The Geddes Grant Division, whose focus is on Food and General Merchandise,is located at Fernandes Compound, Laventille. Our fourth office is on the sister isle of Tobago;our offices are strategically located to ensure that our products and services cover the entire country of Trinidad & Tobago.

M&D facility comprises of more than 100, 000 sq ft of warehousing space, this includes air conditioned rooms, refrigerated cold rooms and bonded facilities. In 2004 we became ISO 9001 certified, and this process helped develop systems that are in place currently and which are always being evaluated and updated. Our annual revenue generated is in excess of US $155 million.

We work closely with our sister company, HiLo Food Stores, which consists of 19 outlets and is the largest supermarket chain in the country. We also provide 100% distribution on both islands, servicing all supermarkets, groceries, pharmacies, variety stores, photo studios, wholesalers, hardware stores, agricultural shops and industries, hotels, restaurants, and duty free outlets including embassies.
